I didn't realize you hadn't painted on actual metal when you posted this to your LJ! Wow, you fooled me, too. I think it helped that you went out of the lines in some places.. and whatever technique you used to mimic a traditional-media technique works VERY well. Kinda surprised you didn't use AR for this.
