I can't remember the exact path the evolution of this image took- but I really enjoyed playing with the unusual angles and antigravity poses you can get with the water. I got into the perspective of the anatomy, too, which was a lot of fun.

According to Mel, pumpkins make the best pool toys.

This is the most charming picture I've found on Artspots in a little while now. The blending of marker and the colored pencils is very nice. So is the balance of the color palette.

Of course, I am biased, being of the pool toy persuasion myself!

Very playful, you captured the mood amazingly!
The only thing that I think would really help to sell that that IS water, is the addition of highlights and some reflections using a white colored pencil. I'm supposing perhaps you've already sent the original off, but just something to consider when doing water.
